Our Workshop
Our Boulder workshop is where every Rooted Furniture piece comes to life. When you visit, you will see projects at every stage: raw slabs being milled, joints being cut, and finished pieces getting their final coat. It is a working shop, not a traditional retail showroom, so the space looks and feels like the real thing. You are welcome to browse our wood sample collection, ask questions about species and finishes, and see firsthand how your piece will be made.
Because this is an active workspace, we recommend scheduling an appointment so we can give you our full attention. Walk-ins are welcome when we are here, but an appointment guarantees we will have time set aside for you. Consultations are free, whether you are starting a brand-new commission or just exploring ideas.
Service Area
Rooted Furniture is built in Boulder, Colorado, and we work with clients across the entire Front Range and beyond. Local delivery is available for customers in the greater Denver–Boulder metro, and we ship finished pieces nationwide for projects outside Colorado.
We regularly serve clients in Denver, Fort Collins, Longmont, Colorado Springs, Broomfield, Louisville, Lafayette, Erie, and the surrounding communities. If you are local, visiting the workshop is the best way to start a project. If you are farther out, we are happy to work through photos, video calls, and detailed specs to make sure your piece is exactly right.
What Our Clients Say
Nick is the most talented craftsman I have ever worked with. He did an initial consultation with me for a custom desk and listened to all my ideas and visions. He then designed several options and we worked together to choose the best design. I am a rock climber and he took that into consideration when designing the concepts for the desk such that my personality was represented. He even coordinated with a local quarry to incorporate a custom stone cutting into my desk. The final result is the most beautiful desk I could have ever hoped for. He personally helped move in the desk to my office. I give my highest possible recommendation for Nick and Rooted. If you are someone looking for a custom piece that will last a lifetime and will be built to the highest possible standard with local Colorado supplies, Nick and Rooted are the best option.
We are so happy with our beautiful dining table! Nick was amazing to work with and we can’t thank him enough for the beautiful craftsmanship and time and effort that he put into creating this dining table. He is an amazing carpenter/artist and we highly recommend Rooted Furniture for your custom furniture build. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Nick! This table is our family heirloom.
We had been searching for the perfect dining table for so long when we decided to work with Nick at Rooted Furniture. We chose to customize the Jackson table and we could not be happier with the results! Working with Nick was seamless and he exceeded our expectations each step of the way. We will definitely be working with Nick on future projects!
